I was recently in the mood to watch ‘Austenland’ again for the third time, and so I thought it would be fitting to write a post about Jane Austen. She will always be my favorite classical romance writer, and though not all of her novels were amazing, *cough* ‘Northanger Abbey’ *cough*, the characters Jane came up with are each unique and special in their own right. So I just watched the TV premiere of Zapped on Disney Channel – why wouldn’t I? – and I somehow stumbled upon the fact that it’s based on a book called “Boys are Dogs”. Most people would say that’s offensive, but honestly, when you think about it, it’s great to be a dog! The 10 Most Unique YA Fairytale Retellings – Book Edition

Since ‘Maleficent’ came out last month and is still running in theaters, I figured I’d honor the movie with a post about the most unusual – though not necessarily new – fairy tale retellings the YA book world has to offer; after all, ‘Maleficent’ is a retelling of the classic ‘Sleeping Beauty’.
